Putting the X in CRM

Date:Friday, Jul 02

That could be misconstrued so let me explain. A grow term in business applications is xRM where the X stands for “anything you want” Relationship Management.

What does that really mean? Well here are a couple examples…

We use Dynamics CRM to do what people traditionally think a CRM product should do. It tracks our Customers and Prospects, their communications and gives us a 360 degree view of how we interact and helps us plan for the best possible delivery of our services.

But it does not end there.

We use Dynamics CRM as a Resume and Recruitment Management System. Anyone who send us a resume is tracked in our system. When we need to hire someone we look through our database and use it to reach out to people who have expressed an interest in joining our team in the past. We now have hundreds or resumes and more often than not we hire from that database and don’t have to spend money on posting for the job.

We use Dynamics CRM as a Client Asset Management System. When we sell and implement a solution for a Client we track the hardware and software we install so that if/when they call with a questions we have quick and easy access to their unique setup.

We use Dynamics CRM as a Contract Management System. Whether the contract is between us and a client or a Vendor and us, we track the type, dates, renewal frequency and much more so we can make sure everyone in our organization knows and understands what our commitments are.

We use Dynamics CRM as a Project Management System. Everything from the deliverables, scheduling work, task delegation and time logs are keep in Dynamics CRM. We produce regular reports automatically that are made available internally to project staff and to Clients and do billing summaries right from the tool.

So as you can see, when Dynamics CRM becomes an xRM system with these types of examples tied into one system, it enables you to see a clear and precise picture of how you work with your Clients.

If you are interest in learning more about the examples above or wish to see our system in action, let me know and I can give you a person tour. Drop me an email at ipavlik@pavliks.com.
